You can add R&B singer SZA to the growing list of celebrities extolling the virtues of using authentic Black Soap on their skin.
While chatting with fans online recently, the ‘Love Galore’ performer said when it comes to her skin, she likes to keep things fairly simple. “I have this weird feeling the apocalypse is upon us, so I have to choose products I can easily find in nature,” she wrote. “I have cystic acne, so I use a Manuka Honey mask, Hemp Oil to smooth out the surface, a Vitamin C serum, and Black Soap as a cleanser.”
For those of you unfamiliar with Black Soap, there are two kinds: traditional African Black Soap which is usually made out of cocoa pod ash, and Moroccan Black Soap, which is made using olives. Both are amazing and can be used to cleanse not only the skin, but the hair as well.
If you’ve never tried Black Soap before, we invite you to educate yourself on this popular cleanser by reading our Black Soap 101 article, and then choosing the best option for your needs.
