First Things First: What Is It?

Royal Jelly is a nutrient-rich substance made by honeybees. While worker bees receive it only briefly, the queen bee is fed Royal Jelly throughout her life.

Yes. The queen gets the good stuff. 👑

And when we created our formulas, we wanted the good stuff too.

Royal Jelly naturally contains proteins, amino acids, lipids and other nutrients, which has made it a prized ingredient in beauty and skincare formulations.

But here’s where things get interesting...

Okay, we made that number up. 😂 But you get the point.

We didn't build our formulas by throwing together whatever ingredients happened to be trending on TikTok. Our products grew out of Essence’s real skin journey and our search for simple, rich ingredients that could give dry skin the care it desperately needed.
